Yes Jose, he is descended from the same line. We are 4th Cousins, thrice removed. He married Teddy Louise Farmer in 1959. He was son of Bayless Earl Oates. My mother was born near Depoy, Ky. and it is from her that my Oates link occurs.

David et al: Unfortunately we don't know where our Oates line begins in
England. Titus is certainly a colorful character, although a bit extreme in
his views perhaps. We are trying to connect our ancestor, James Oates of
Perquimans County, Va. to his family in England. James was possibly the
immigrant ancestor, arriving perhaps in the 1680's or before. A book on the
family describes a coat of arms and other significant items suggesting that
he was a person of means, well educated and a leader in his new community.
He used a signet ring instead of a signature for his documents. Le and I
would love to connect him to the old sod.
