Subject Line Corrected:

Malcolm III 'Ceann Mor' [Bighead] ('Caenmore'), King of Scots, gave his
name to the celebrated Kenmore line of washers and dryers and other
useful appliances many of us use in our homes ---- and therefore is very
much alive today. <g>

Malcolm was killed in the course of an attack on Alnwick, allegedly
intended to forestall a Norman invasion of Scotland.

He was ambushed by one of his supposed Norman friends named Morel.

Malcolm was so uncivilised in his youth that he had to be taught the
finer things in life by his wife, Margaret. This was such a difficult
job and he was such a hard case that she was later canonised as a saint
in 1251 for that and for her many benefactions to the Church, including
the rebuilding of the Monastery of Iona.
