According to"Papal Genealogy - The Families and descendants of the
Popes," by George L. Williams [1998], Pope Innocent III (Lotario dei
Conti) was the son of Trasimondo, Count of Segni and grandson of
Pietro Conti, Lord of Anagni (died 1057). Other popes in the Conti
family included Gregory IX (r. 1227-1241), Alexander IV (r.
1254-1261), and Boniface VIII (r. 1294-1303).
