I have no way of knowing what Sam Sloan has submitted or that "that file
remained for a while." I also do not have any way of knowing when Sam Sloan
has submitted his data and if it has been entered into the LDS database.
The post that I made showed what came up on the monitor screen when the name
Carlo Odoardo Luigi Stuart was searched at the LDS site. Also, if you will
read my post, you will see that I directly quoted information about Ancestral
File that is on the LDS site.
The LDS site is not perfect. Let me give you an example so that you may
understand some problems with it. Once, I searched the Family History
Library Catalog online for a specific surname in an "Author" search. I found
17 hits for that name. Then I searched the FHLC CD for the same surname
under an "Author" search and I found 20 hits for the same name.
There was no attempt on my part to dispute anything Sam Sloan has written
previously. My post was only to try inform Sam Sloan of how the FHL works
and that when names are submitted to the FHL they are not deliberately
