What's your source for her birthdate?
She may have been born in Castile -- she was a daughter
[illegitimate] of Jimena Muñoz de Lara -- but her father
was king of Leon not of Castile. And indeed if she was
born around 1070 Alfonso VI ahd just been, or was just
about to be, sent into exile by his usurper-brother Sancho
II of Castile. It was not until Sancho was murdered in
1072 that Alfonso came back into his own and, in his turn,
usurped the thrones of Castile and of Galicia.
(Their father, Fernando I, had divided his kingdoms
among three sons: Galicia to Garcia, Castile to Sancho,
Leon to Alfonso.)
So if she was born in 1070 she was born not to a king of
Castile but to an exiled king of Leon, and calling her
"Teresa de Castilla" is just tripe.
If you had been paying attention to serious valuable posts
in 1997 when TAF posted his AT of Teresa, instead of indulging
your usual hobby of looking for opportunities to insult,
defame and browbeat contributors, you would not need today
to ask how Pelayo is supposed to be linked to Teresa.
But since others more deserving of an answer may have a
similar question, and since the AT is apparently lost,
I will say that it goes, if my notes on TAF's AT are correct,
like this:
Pelayo
Ermesinda m Alfonso the Catholic
Fruela I of Asturias
Fruela
Vermudo I of Asturias
Ramiro I of Asturias
Gaton del Vierzo
Hermesinda Gatonez
Ildoncia Menendez
Adosinda Gutierrez m. Ramiro II of Leon
Ordono III of Leon
Vermudo II of Leon
Alfonso V of Leon
Sancha of Leon m Fernando I of Castile
Alfonso VI of Leon
Teresa
