I am very interested in this discussion, because Mr. Paul Reed made the
same claim about that one of my presumed ancestors.

I have an eighth greatgrandfather named Thomas Willis (1625-1660), who came
to America. Thomas WILLIS (WYLLYS) is the 8th great grandfather of Samuel
Howard SLOAN. http://www.anusha.com/pafg26.htm#1644

Through this, I and more than a million other Americans and English other
Americans are related to each other. For example, this makes me a cousin of
President William Henry Harrison, seven generations removed.

However, Paul Reed has posted to this group that this is all wrong. He said
that that Thomas Willis never came to America and that the Thomas Willis
who is my ancestor is a different person.

I have written to Paul Reed about this several times and he has never
responded.

Now he makes exactly the same claim about Walter Aston, that there are two
persons by the same name, one came to America, and the other did not.
