This is from Learned Cousin...

I now find the descent from Edward I and Eleanor of Castile to Maud le
Scrope cannot be used.

The problem I find now is that Elizabeth Damory and Sir John Bardolf,
3rd Baron are not the parents of Margaret Bardolf who m. Sir Adam de
Welles. Margaret Bardolf is the sister, not the daughter of Sir John.

They are the issue of Thomas Bardolf, 2nd Lord Bardolf, of Wormegay,
Norfolk,
b. 4 Oct 1282, d. 15 Dec 1329, and was buried in Shelford Priory, Notts, age
of 47
[CP, 14:64]. He married abt. 1310 Agnes (poss.) Grandson [CP, 14:64], and d.
in Ruskington, Lincolnshire, 11 Dec 1357. In Aug.1337 she had a protection
as
being "by birth of the parts of Almain"]
[CP, 1:418]

1. Margaret m. Adam de Welles, who d. 1345

2. John b. 13 Jan 1312-3 [CP, 14:64]; d. Jul or Aug. 1363, Assisi, Italy;
m. bef 25 Dec 1327 Elizabeth Damory d. bef 1363 only dau. and heiress of
Roger Damory and Elizabeth de Clare.
