There has recently been enquiries about the "Collections for a History of
Staffordshire". The series commenced in 1880 and is published by the
Staffordshire Record Society which was known as the William Salt
Archaeological Society prior to 1936.

Although the text of the volumes themselves is not on the internet an index
(high level) to the volumes is at:

http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/STS/Bibliography/CHS.html

this address also shows where copies of the volumes can be found, including
US, Canadian and Australian institutions.

The collections are an invaluable source for anyone researching families
with a Staffordshire connection in the medieval period.
