The problem with Muslim familes is that they are polygamous, and it is not
easy to find maternal information in many cases. Books like these are good
handbooks to the patrilineal lines, but rarely go further than that.
For the Ottoman dynasty, you can look at A D Alderson, The Structure of the
Ottoman Dynasty (Oxford, 1956)
Burke's Royal Families of the World part II covers modern Muslim dynasties.
A good online site for modern non-European dynasties, including Muslim ones,
is Christopher Buyer's Royal Ark:
