I have met every possible variation on this.
I have met Gunna, Gunner and Gunn-just about everything.
One of my old girlfriends in Iceland was Hildagunna Adolfsdottir, but she
liked to call herself Hildagunna Adolfhitlersdottir.
Someone told me that she got married and is living in America. Anyway, I
have lost track of her.
Gunna is one of the most common nicknames in Iceland.
Everybody in Iceland has a nickname. Usually, hardly anybody knows what
their real name is.
The names of my lady friends in Iceland were Gulla, Gurra, Gunna, Guffa,
Tutta, Inga, Karo, Loa, Hrefna, Helga, Sibba, Solla and Beggo.
Only two of these was the real legal name.
