<< I published my somewhat radical theory in Plantagenet Ancestry, 2nd edition,
by David Faris.">>
This innocuous statement is fully what had been expressed by Gary Boyd Roberts
and Dr. Faris to me.
In no wise, and at NO time, was it even hinted that Dr. Faris created or had
anything to do with this theory, or that the details of it were not an accurate
expression of Doug's theory or the details entirely Doug's.
In fact, NEVER had Doug denounced the statement (as it read) or the details as
it was discussed here, or in a letter written to NGSQ after the publication of
my article there, or in Robert Todd's articles.
And though Doug may now dismiss IT as not being worthy to dismiss, he had put
it forward so strongly in private that Gary Boyd Roberts rearranged his ENTIRE
manuscript of RD600, ordering the pages by "best (nearest) descent from
royalty, and including all who descended from Margaret de Clare through Amie.
(I still have a copy of that manuscript which Gary handed to me.) There was
much grumbling at having to again pull things out and rearrange it yet again.
There had also been much grumbling from Gary after rearranging things to
include that new Holand link that was later removed.
Not retracting the published theory attributed to you (Doug) is tacit
acceptance to those who have not followed this group and do not know better.
