PSS: In "John of Worcester", vol. III, ed. P. McGurk, I find under 1088 an
attempt to put Robert Curthouse on the throne, in place of William II.

"The leaders of this execrable plot were Odo, bishop of Bayeux, who was also
earl of Kent, Robert his brother, count of Mortain, both brothers of William
I, but only through their mother." EQ

This seems straight forward and consistant with what I understood, but
McGurk thows me a curve ball in his footnote:

"Robert of Mortain (Odo's half-brother) is not mentioned in the ASC..."

Now, if they all have the same mother, then what is the basis for McGurk's
assertion that Odo is the Half-brother of Robert? I did not know this was a
questionable issue as well.

Cheers,
Phil
