There was another Anthony Browne in a family I have researched some--one
of the sons of Richard Browne of Little Frome, Hereford (d. 1535). There
is no connection to the famous Anthony that I know of, though; this
Anthony's Browne ancestors, all in Hereford, are known back to the
mid-14th century. Incidentally, Richard (d. 1535) was apparently an
ancestor of the New England immigrant Millicent (Wood) Addis.
