The Carpenter item is a published book (a whopping one!), ISBN
0521370167. It would be of interest to anyone with gentry ancestry in
Warwickshire in the period.

I was able to consult Carpenter's massive thesis (on which the book is
based) at the Warwickshire Record Office back in 1989 while taking a
course on 15th-century England under Martin Lowry at the University of
Warwick.
