Sir Christopher Blount beheaded in 1601 is shown on Leo's www.genealogics.org
sites to be the son of James Blount, 6th Lord Mountjoy but with no birthdate.
Since he did not become Lord Mountjoy and his two brothers did, prior to
1601, wouldn't that make him the youngest son?
Christopher Blount married, as her third husband Lettice Knollys, widow of
1st Walter Devereux, 1st Earl of Essex. By that first marriage Lettice had a
daughter Penelope who subsequently married, as her second husband the brother
of this same Christopher Blount, named Charles Blount, Lord Mountjoy in 1605.
Penelope was divorced from her first husband Robert Rich, 1st earl of
Warwick in 1605 when he was just 24. Leo's site shows no other marriage for
Robert Rich, but I think he must have married again before his death in 1619, 15
years later.
