No, I definitely meant "for all intensive purposes," a little homage
to Greg Broom, a cool hippie dude I knew in college. He put that
phrase in a letter to the editor, and at first I chuckled, but then
realized it means exactly the same thing as "for all intents and
purposes." Thought it was cute and have used it every since.

I won't respond to the rest of Peter's email (as I actually agree with
everything he said, for once). Right ...
