It's an old error, recognized as early as 1900, that Margery (Crane)
Appleton was the daughter of Robert Crane and Anne Ogard. She was in fact
his sister, as indicated in Robert Crane's will. See the TG article I cited
for further details. This is a case, incidentally, where the erroneous
parentage was traditionally supported by a heraldic quartering which was
apparently wrong.

The parentage of Alice Lovel is also discussed in the TG article and
mentions, inter alia, the will of her father Thomas, Lord Lovel [son of the
John Lovel you mention] which mentions Anne Ogard, "my daughter's daughter".
