By the way, Robert Browne (-1623) 1st Bt made a Will, when he must have
been
a young adult, on 31 May 1588, in advance of his service in Ireland, and I
have previously posted my transcript to gen-medieval. He calls Winifred
wife
of William FitzWilliam of Dostrope, (that is son of the Wm FitzWm Ld deputy
of Ireland) both his cousins, but I have not been able to work out a
connection. >>

Not sure I can help you yet. Although I have all eight of the
great-grandparents for William FitzWilliam, I only have *two* of the eight for Robert
Browne 1st Bart of Walcot.

Will,

Thanks for checking.

Robert Browne’s great-grandparent’s (some described as “said to be”)
Robert Browne
Isabell Sharp
Sir Edward Palmer
dau of Richard Clerment
William Barnard
Elizabeth Waller
then, depending by which wife of Philip Barnard had issue
Either by Anne dau of Sir William Carew by (probably) NN Drurys
Or by Alice dau of Richard Bishop (als Bushop) by Rose Paget
I suspect that it is William Fitzwillim's wife is the blood relative - the
Will wording is:
...my cosen wynnyfryd ffitzwilliams the wife of William ffitzwilliams of
Dostrope in the countye of North’t esquire ..
...And executors of this my last will and te[stoment] / make constitute and
ordeyne my trusty and welbeloved cosen William ffitzwilliams of Dostrope in
the sayd co[ounty of Northt’] / esquire and my sayd wellbeloved brother
William Browne esquire...
I have the following for Winnifred (Mildmay)'s great-grandparent's as
Walter Mildmay of Writtle, Essex
Mary Everard of Much Waltham, Essex
NN Reade
(mother of Agnes Reade)
Sir James Walsingham
Eleanor Writtle
Sir Edmund Denny of Cheshunt
Mary Troutbeck
I've not yet worked out the Wm Fitzwilliam great-grandparent’s, so far I
have:
William Fitzwilliam
Anne Hawes
Sir Robert S(h)apcote
NN
Sydney
NN

Adrian
