This is the language of the lineage papers, or applications for
membership, in the 'Order of the Merovingian Dynasty' (from which this

--). Similar language is used in the application process of most of the
lineage societies in the US. It's particularly inapposite for the grey
areas of early medieval genealogy in which the Merovingians are found.
