Subject: Genealogics: More ancestry for George-Fieschi Heneage of Hainton
Date: Wed, 27 Feb 2008 12:53:16 -0800 (PST)
On Leo's excellent website we see here
http://www.genealogics.org/getperson.php?personID=I00137340&tree=LEO
that George-Fieschi Heneage who m 18 Sep 1755
into the bloodline of Richard Cecil and
to a fourth-generation descendent of the English Throne
Catherine Petre
This couple have hundreds of descendents today.
But I'm more interested in linking them back to the great families of
the medieval period. We can see that Leo does not carry the Heneage
line back into it's pre-modern ancestry.
I shall now wave my magic wand, and show, not one, not two, but many
royal links.
Firstly however, notice that Leo gives no father for George's mother
"Anna Maria Fieshi". Her father was
Roboaldo Fieschi, Count de /Lavagna/ in Genoa
It seems likely that this should link to some interesting ancestry by
itself.
George was "eldest son and heir of his father"
Thomas-Henry Heneage, esq of Hainton
who was the heir of his own father
George Heneage, esq of Hainton
who was the heir of his own father
Geoge Heneage, esq of Hainton by his wife Mary Kempe
"only daughter and heiress of her father"
Thomas Kempe, esq of Slindon, co Sussex
Can someone link me up this Thomas Kempe? I don't know how he fits
into the Kempe family.
George Heneage, who married Mary Kempe
was the son of
George Heneage, esq of Hainton by his wife Faith Trywhitt
and here nodding heads should awake.
The great-great-grandparents of George who married Mary Kempe I
currently show as
16 William Heneage, esq of Benworth, co Lincoln "Third son"
17 Anne Fishbourne "co-heiress of her father"
18 Thomas Guldeford, Knt (of Hempstead, Kent?)
19 Elizabeth Shelley
20 Thomas Tresham, Knt (in 1575) of Rushton, Northants (d 1605)
21 Muriel Throckmorton (d 1615)
22 Sir John Tufton, Knt
23 Who is she?
24 Edward Tyrwhitt, Knt of Stainfield (buried 3 Mar 1628)
25 Faith St Paul (of Snarford), died in childbed, buried in Lincoln
Cathedral date unknown but after 1612
26 Nicholas Saunderson Viscount Castleton d 17 May 1631
27 no idea
28 don't know, but a Mister Fontaine
29 still don't know
30 nope don't know
31 don't know this one either.
