Dear Kay
Leo van de Pas has never had a nasty thought in his life I don't think. He
has always been extremely helpful, polite and charming - and only rarely
showed his frustration at some of the antics of some of our contributors.
But he never resorted to abuse - ever. So hang in there and ignore the
idiots. It's worth ploughing through the chaff to get at the wheat.

Bret, In regard to "scion," I've always assumed, without knowing exactly
What it meant, that it referred to a "wealthy male" heir.
I'm not sure who answered my post about St. Clair/Sinclair, but he obviously
Would rather berate than go to sources himself to verify. I think he needs
To read up on the St. Clairs/Sinclairs of Rosslyn. Also, Rosslyn Chapel has
a
Nice website to visit.
I take most of my medieval genealogy from a particular Rootsweb site which I
Have as much confidence in as any. It might also have been noticed that I
Wrote "if the genealogy is as I have found it." I think I may have found as
Many ancestors as anyone. I also realize some people can't stand for someone
Else to write about his or her ancestors, or to have ancestors that they may
Not have.
If I read you correctly, Bret, that M.Sjostrom is the Leo of Australia, whom
I read so much about, and he is the one who answered, then I am surprised
And disappointed in him. Not that what was written bothers me, but the
obvious
Dislike behind it doesn't suit a professional genealogist.
Goodbye to all. I think I'm in the wrong group.
