Sorry Will,

You were suggesting that the psalter entries (in regards to Gertruda) could not be put in a time frame AFTER you must have read that there were entries given the death dates of her relatives-----and entries making it clear that the "unique son" was well and truly grown up, even married....................Gertruda could not be a blushing bride with a baby in arms, as you suggested, that should have been clear to you......

It is good to throw around ideas and suggestions, but not suggestions which already have been excluded in the message you respond to.
With best wishes

The discussion Leo isn't limited to those who can understand Latin. The discussion is about possible solutions to why Gertrude would say this (apparently). Take a chill pill, you're getting all excited.

As was pointed out before, the translation could also mean something like "my unique son".
And the recording of dates of relatives does not allow us to date when Gertrude's additions were made, unless they are in the same hand.
And at any rate, that doesn't tell us the range of time she owned it.
If those entries are in a different hand, than that they exist doesn't tell us anything about Gertrude at all.

Will Johnson is yet again talking through his dunce's hat. In the first place, if he reads the message again, he will see that in the psalter "death dates" of relatives are mentioned and that alone should imply the psalter can be dated. If he doesn't know any Latin at all, and if he can't even understand "squarely in the context of his tribulations during the power struggle with his brothers", then why on earth does he feel compelled to keep posting on the subject?
