I don't find a John Beresford of Newton Grange who could be in the right
generation to be father to George who married Eleanor Greene.
However there were two Humphrey Beresfords of Newton Grange, in a row,
either of whom, as far as I have the chronology today, would fit the bill.
The younger Humphrey who married Elizabeth FitzHerbert, had a sole heiress
Agnes.
