There is probably another Princess Diana connection here as well.
Martha Skinner, wife of Alexander Fettiplace, was daughter of William
Skinner of Shelfield and [jure uxoris] of Rowington, the brother of
Martha Skinner Wheatley and Prudence Skinner Morgan. (Some pedigrees
show William's daughter Martha as married to Thomas Weekes - there may
be a confusion of names between two daughters here, or perhaps an
unnoticed 2nd marriage)
Visitation pedigrees state that the mother of William, Martha, and
Prudence Skinner was Jane Billing, said to be daughter of Chief
Justice Sir Thomas Billing. This incorrect (and chronologically
unlikely) - she was actually his great-granddaughter.
