There are white pages for telephone numbers
and surname lists for genealogy purposes.
Where does one go to get a complete list of
all of the pages available (especially for
genealogy) to find the many WWW pages
listed? And by the way why are the WWW
pages sometimes referred to as URLs?

Looking for anyone working on the Buswell/Buzzell lines of New
England. Have been doing research on these lines for 20 years; mainly,
descendants of Isaac Buswell of Salisbury, MA
Thanks, Evy at

Interesting questions--
first of all, I don't know if there is a "complete" list of anything on the
Internet. This is very ephemeral since things come and go an awful lot.
If you use a search engine, such as AltaVista and just type the word,
"genealogy," you will be dealing with a retrieval of about
50,000--staggering, eh? I rely on some of the good meta-lists (big lists
that try to encompass as much as they can):

Rootsweb
http://www.rootsweb.com

Cyndi Howells genealogy page
http://www.oz.net/~cyndihow/sites.htm

URL stands for Universal Resource Locator--kind of like an address for a
page on the WWW.

Good luck

Hi,=09
This is for those who have written earlier to me regarding connections
to Henry and Rose DIXON. I cannot find my list of email addresses to =
get
back in touch with you. Please write again!
I got to meet one of our kin, Chuck Niggley, today. He is my 8th=20
cousin, once removed. He said I could give his email address to others=20
searching Henry and Rose. He can be contacted at:
.
We were talking about getting a round-robin letter or newsletter started =
for
anyone interested in working on the DIXON line.

He and I both are descendants of William DIXON (b. 1656/1662). I know =
someone wrote that he was from Rose DIXON (daughter) (b. 1661, Ireland),
and I believe I had someone say he descended from Dinah DIXON (b. 1659,
Ireland). I also received the name "WILKINSON" for the maiden name of =
Ann
GREGG's mother. Please write and let me know if you might come from =
this
line.

Rebecca
