Hi Gil,
I use the FTM Deluxe II. I haven't heard any comments from any other
users in genealogical connects, but if I can tell you that the info is only
as accurate as the person submitted it... meaning... they don't require
proofs, etc. In the case of the Roots and those I found for many of my
ancestors, the submittees hadn't and it is full of errors. It's a great
tool though for gathering information, but you'll need to validate all the
info.

In reference to EarthLink, I use it and am very happy with it. I
originally started it up in December because AOL was always so busy I
couldn't get online. I *love* AOL mail, and some other features, so I kept it
as "bring your own access". Now I pay AOL $9.95 mo for unlimited service, and
$19.95 a mo to EarthLink for the same. I realize I would only *need* one, but
I want both. EarthLink has been very dependable and I don't have any
complaints about them. Their support service is fast and extremely helpful. I
know if one is down I can use the other, but EL rarely has any problems.
Though I had never heard of them before, I've since seen them used by
different TV shows and large organizations. This helped me to feel that they
were not a fly-by-night operation. Contact me direct if you have further
questions.

Would like to correspond with those researching the
descendants/ancestors of Balthaser (Balser) BORTNER, b.1698 d.1747, a
German immigrant to PA, USA from Germany. Arrived in Phildaelphia in
1732 on the ship "Adventure". Married to Maria Elisabetha (surname
unknown), had 7 children.
BECKER/BAKER ... Falls on the Rhine, Switzerland>PA ... and beyond :)
George BECKER (dates unknown, but fathered a child born in 1763)
A millwright who arrived in America btwn 1763/1765. Settled in York
Co, PA. German Swiss Protestant. Had 8 children from 1st wife, 7 from
second. Came to America w/2nd wife and their children.
BECKER name changed to BAKER around 1812, tho' several branches
etained the BECKER spelling.
Am most interested in finding more info about George BAKER, b.1834
d.1893 in York Co, PA. Married Susannah FICKES b.1824 d.1895. This
George BAKER is my gggrandfather, and was the grandson of the original
family immigrant George BECKER.

Am seeking info on my gggrandmother, Elizabeth BURTNER KAPP b. 1835
d.1916 in Dillsburg, York Co, PA. She married Christian BURTNER (see
above ABC surnames). I would like to know who her parents were. From
her obituary info I have learned that she had a brother, George KAPP, a
sister, Amelia KAPP REIVER, and a sister, ??? KAPP SLOTHOUR. I am
told the family name was once spelled CAPP ... so I'm listing it here
with my ABC surnames. :)

Tuttle family, relationship unknown as her maiden name presumed to be
