I just recently bought the program, and the book states that each couple
can have up to 99 children or spouses!
When you get to the end of the list, just press the down arrow key to
reveal the hidden fields.
Hope this helps,

Thank you so much for your forceful opinion, but it would
have been better for you to say you prefer not to read
those topics. YOU can't say one way or another what you
want or don't want. I think that was a flame message, and

Diane,
Did you try using the scroll bar on the right hand side if the
children's
window? This way you can just keep adding one at a time.

Charles

No, when I used the scroll bar it just took me to the end
of the page. But, I am using a net site-family tree maker,=20
and not a program . I did hear some advice about hitting
enter or hitting an arrow and bringing up more slots for=20
kids. I'll try that. What I don't like about the FTM is
that it only goes back so far and then you have to log on
a seperate time to continue. I emailed them and they said that =
eventually that won't be the case. D

JEEZ!!!!!!! Amazing what new blood can do to this group.
I just hope all of you know that I never "hang back" when starting =
something new. It wastes time when you could be jumping in with both =
feet. Although it is true that sometimes there's not much water in the =

Subject: Barney (not the dinosaur)

From what I have gathered from my Great Aunt (who is 82) my Great Great
Grandfather's name was Benjamin Barney. I think he was married to Mary
Farthing. This was his second wife and my Great Great Grandmother. His
first wife (name unknown right now) died in child birth. Benjamin and Mary
had lots of kids including Homer and Lloyd (I think, I am so confused). I
do know that Claude Clay Barney, my Great Grandfather was one of their kids.

Claude Clay Barney had six kids with Eidth McCord. This was Eidth's second
marriage. She was previously married to Bill O'Kelly and had two children.

Claud and Eidth had 6 Children. In order of birth they are, Minnie,
Augustus, Wilma, Dale Claude, Frank Wilson (my grandfather), and Pauline.

My grandfather Frank Wilson Barney married Margaret Mohiser (went by Moore)
and had six children. In order of birth they are, Raymond, TD (my father),
Karleen, Donna, Richard, and Beverly.

TD Barney (Initials only, no name) married Della Marie Davis and had two
children Lena (that's me) and my sister Ronda.

I only know that Frank was born on May 6, 1917 and Died Easter Sunday 1973
(April). Margaret was born June 12, 1917 and died August 3, 1986. TD
Barney was born March 6, 1944 and died December 9, 1971.

I know that my family came to America from Scottland or England and my Aunt
thinks that it is Benjamin Barney. My family has been in Illinois, Oregon,
Texas and Kansas (I think). My aunt gave me lots of information, but some
of it seemed to make no sense. I think that some of my relatives must have
been given the same name or she confused the families a little. I am hoping
to talk to my cousin Carmen later and see if she knows anymore. I will keep
you posted and promise that I won't repost all this information again unless
there are corrections to be made.

Thanks for your understanding and patients in helping me. I am new to this
whole genealogy thing and I am not quite sure what kinds of questions to ask
my family. If there is anything else that I might be able to find out from
them, let me know and I will see if I can get the answers. I know my family
is out there somewhere.

Can someone please explain to me what "forth cousin once removed" would
mean. I understand about first cousin and etc but I don't know what the
'removed' means.

Can I 'remove' my sister! (Just kidding, I love my sister)

A cousin doesn't have computer or modem -- needs snail mail response:
She is seeking:

DABBELT (from across USA), but especially her father's and grandparents'
information (John DABBELT). I forgot to ask her where they lived but
believe that it was Crawford or Spencer Co (or lower part) of Indiana.

Hi All,

I am looking for information on another elusive person. I would like to
know where Asahel (aka Asa) Fowler went after the 1870 cencus of
Muskegon County, Michigan. Listed with him were his wife, Mary and his
four children: Caroline, George, Clara, & Bernice.

Asa was born in Indiana, and Mary in Ohio. The children were all born
in Michigan.

Asahel(Asa), Mary, Caroline & George were in the 1860 census of
St.Joseph County, Mi. Apparently they moved to Muskegon County (Dalton)
shortly after the 1860 cencus. Clara & Bernice were born after the 1860
census.

I would also like to find out what the relationship was between Asa
FOWLER and Stephan FOWLER of St Joseph County, Mi(Sherman Twp). Asa's
daughter Caroline married my great-grandfather, Samuel M.C. WAGNER, at
the home of Stephen Fowler in 1876.

Does anyone have any information on this FOWLER family?

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanx.

Subject: What do I do next?

I'm new here and I have just been sitting back learning alot from
everyone, now I have a question. Hope you that have been here for awhile
don't get upset---
I am search for a ggggrandfather who was born probably in Mass. but don't
have any idea. Was in New York but can't pin it down by using the census
and the place he was at doesn't exist anylonger. I have gone to the
library and looked through family surname books, New England family
references and microfliches, still no connections. Don't know if he was
going by a middle name or his real name... same with his wife.
I have posted to many websites including the Sherman of Yaxley webs and
Maiser's Sherman list. Still no one has any information. I about ready to
think that he just sprouted and has no life.
Can anyone suggest what else to do.... I am looking in the time frame of
l778-.
Thanks
Sandy
