Actually, the Anglican Church (known as Episcopal in the U.S.) is quite like
pre-Vatican II Roman Catholic churches, but there are several doctrinal
differences.
The ARCIC (Anglican -- Roman Catholic International Commission) meets to
discuss the differences. Their most sticking point is the infallibility of
the pope.
In addition, the Anglican Church (along with non-Latin Rites of the
Catholic Church) allows priests to marry. Ordination of women as deacons,
priests and bishops is also allowed. (The Catholic Church allows none of
these.)
