Hello:

Can anyone tell me where FOLAVOINE is or perhaps was ?

It is where why gggg grandmother, Francoise DUCHENE was from, as indicated
on her marriage certificate on 23 Nov 1836 at St. Anne's Parish,
Michilimackinac, MI. She would likely have been born around 1790 or so,
based on the fact that her first child was born in 1808. From what I
understand, all of her children were born in Kettle River, which I believe
is in Carlton Co. Minnesota (near Moose Lake).

Her father was French (Canadian?) and her mother was Native, if that helps
anyone.
