Could someone give me some insight as to the area around Ternopel, Ukraine.
I have a copy of a marriage certificate, translated Ukranian to English, in
Flint , Mich.,1956. It states: Josefa Volodimirivna WIERZEBICKI married Carl
Timlovich SHIMANSKI , Oct.1923. The certificate is from the bureau of vital
statistics of TERNOPIL. Place of registration is the village of GUSLATIN. The
certificate was confirmed by a notary at the government notary office in
KOPICHINTZI.
Josefa's sister Anna WIERZBICKA (how it's spelled on documents I have) and the
man she married, in the states, Micheal ZAGRODNY came here around 1906.Their
first papers indicate they came from BORKI, MALO, POLAND. Oral history has it
that Micheal worked on a farm managed by Anna's father. Anna and Micheal were
Catholic but the farm was owned by a Jewish family.

My questions at this point are:
*Is the area Josefa got married and BORKI, MALO in proximity to each other?
*Where would I find these areas on a map?
*What would be the current names?
*Where do I begin to search church records? LDS?
*What would this info suggest to anyone?

TIA for any and all help. I can be reach
