Carolyn,

I have binders for each line I am working on. In these I use sheet protectors
(so you don't have to punch holes in papers) and store the bits and pieces. I
also use the binders to keep birth, marriage and death records in. Keeps me
organized and my desk a little cleaner.

If you get archive quality sheet protectors (available at you local office
supply store) they will protect the documents you are collecting from the
affects of acids and handling. They are great because you can see the
documents front and back and never actually have to handle them.
