Hi All,
with all the talk about the Native Americans of late on the list, I felt this
was indeed very GOOD info to pass on to the list.
I hope it helps many of us here.
I have not yet checked it out my self, Been very busy. Since it's from Everton
I feel that it's SAFE to send.
Good luck
Anne

First Nations Histories
Knowing your cultural history is as important as knowing your family
history. But it's not always easy to locate good information on
Native American tribes online. Fortunately, there is an excellent
resource on the World Wide Web to help you in your studies: First
Nations Histories.
>From the Abenaki to the Winnebago, this site includes very good
histories on four dozen Native American groups. Each of these
includes information on the tribe's language, location, culture,
sub-tribes, and history -- especially the tribe's history of contact
with "white men".
This site includes an extensive bibliography to help you continue your
research offline, and a "geographic overview" placing the tribes in
their locations by current political boundaries.
If you are researching any Native American genealogy you will want to
visit, and bookmark, this excellent website.
