Unfortunately, since your Grandmother was raised in those particular
Mountains (TN) it is not really a clue. Many of the proverbs and
dialects which abound in that area are almost unadulterated from the
Engish and Welsh roots which originally settled there. Then again,
maybe it is; depending on how many generations have lived there. If
it is a case of her people being there for as long as anyone can
remember, then yes it is a major clue. If she , or her parents,
either one, moved there to be with a spouce, then it is not. Do you
see the distinction?

I hope that I've been clear on this rather than confusing the issue
more with what was supposed to be an explaination. Sometimes others
have trouble following my thought processes -- not surprising, as
sometimes I manage to confuse myslef.
