***IF YOU GOT THIS MORE THAN ONCE, I APOLOGIZE, I'M SENDING TO MORE THAN 1
LIST***

Bill <> from the YorksGen list said that I should send this
on to the whole list (and I'm sending to other lists as well), I wrote this
in a letter to him. Thanks Bill!!!

MY SURNAMES and Histories of such:

My Yorkshire family is WILKINSON from Armley, Leeds (1500's - 1700) ... I
recently found an Armley WILKINSON relative via internet who lives only one
mile from there, but he is as new to this as I am. Names associated with the
English WILKINSON line (before it moved to US) are CORLASS/CORLESS, HUDSON,
HUTCHINSON.

Then there's the extension of my WILKINSON family that immigrated to America
in the 1700's and were associated in the farmlands of Queen Anne's and
Caroline Counties of Maryland. The names associated with the WILKINSON
Family are DEROCHBRUNE, DOWNES, WOOTERS, EARLE, WILSON and MULLIKIN.

I'm also researching HORSTEAD - there's a town in Norfolk called Horstead and
there are still living breathing relatives in that area. I've also met a new
online friend who lives near there and saw the name in the lists and has made
contact with me. He's apparently decided that he'd like to be my Horstead
contact and give me whatever he can find in the area. He's already sent me
1881 census information from the area, as well as addresses and phone numbers
of HORSTEAD families living in that area. Unfortunately, my grandfather
seems to be the only person I can find who wasn't born in that area.. haven't
found any information outside of Norfolk with the exception of him and no
census information that I can find seems to place anyone else outside of the
area. I have no idea who my grandfather's parents were. HORSTEAD was my
maiden name.

I'm also researching BRIDLE and HAYMAN in Torquay, Devonshire and HELMS in
Torquay, Devonshire and Walsall, Staffordshire. That about does it for my
English names.

I'm also researching NEWMAN/NEUMAN and WALTER from Zweibrucken,
Rhineland-Pfalz, Germany who were German Palatinates, that immigrated to
Maryland about 1770.
Names associated with these families are: THOMAS, SMOOT, McGINNIS, ROCHESTER
(all in Maryland) and WEBER, DEAGLE (in Germany)

If anyone knows of any of these families, please let me know.

Thanks,

Betsy Horstead Hale
