Hi Melicia,
I am just about willing to bet that these two people are actually the same
person. Someone just got the dates/names a little off (which is not
unusual). I find it highly unlikely that two different sets of parents would
name their children exactly the same and have almost the same birth
dates/years?? I think you are dealing with the same person with conflicting
dates.

I have finally traced my GREEN line down only to become even more confused.
First I traced back to my 4xg grandfather Robert GREEN b. in 1770. As I was
looking for an on line cemetry site I saw a posting for another Robert GREEN
born in the same area. I contacted this person and it appeared we were
related. The only problem is that he was listed as being married to a
Barabara CHAMBERS and mine is listed as being married to a Barbara/Barbary
SPIKER same year. I researched the children of both parents off of the IGI
and this is what I got,

GREEN/CHAMBERS GREEN/SPIKER
John abt 1792 John abt 1800
Robert abt 1794 Robert abt 1802
Richard abt 1797 Richard abt 1796
Henry abt 1800 Henry abt 1798
Benjamin abt 1802 Benjamin abt 1809
Rebecca abt 1804 Rebecca abt 1792
Adam abt 1805 Adam abt 1806
I didn't find Jacob on this side Jacob abt 1794
but this other person says
there was a Jacob in the
children

Both Robert GREEN's died about the same time. Did someone mess up or was he
married to two women with the same names at the same time? The area they
lived in was in Lonaconing/Barton MD. It is not that big of an area. I guess
my question is, how do I know which is right? I thought maybe they were two
different people but how is that possible to have everything the same. Any
help would be greatly appreciated. I apologize for the length of this
message
but I wanted to make sure I had explained it clearly because it has me
totaly
confused.
