I have already posted privately to Christine, however, others have requested
a post to the list so here goes.
I have an efax number. There are no hidden costs, unless you would like to
subscribe to their services. The free efax portion only allows for you to rece
ive faxes, not send them. If you need to send faxes, then I suggest buying
the fax software. I only have the efax in order to recieve faxes, I go
elsewhere to send them when I need to. (I get to send them free from 'work')
As far as receiving the faxes through the e-mail, it does work very nicely, I
sent myself a test fax. You only need to download their viewer in order to
receive efaxes in your e-mail. They have also sent me occasional e-mails to
try to get me to buy their other services, I just delete them. They did send
me a nice little 'business' card to print out that I can give to my family
and friends that has my efax number on it. I put it on card stock and gave it
to my friends who might need it. It's also pretty fun to be able to put down
a fax number, looks more business-like. I hope this helps answer some of your
questions.
