Subject: maiden names

When I don't know the maiden name ,I usually will add it like this;
John Smith m. Jane (nee ?) Smith.This way I know I still need to find that
maiden name,but on my printout she doesn't just appear as just Jane.
This lets me know who she is just in case there is another Jane or two in the
family tree.On both my Irish side and my Italian side,the names are
constantly being repeated,so I do add the married name,and then continue the
hunt for the maiden name.The (nee ?)lets me know I still need this particular
name.If you can't get the ? on your program ,
use Jane (nee unknown)Smith.Works for me.
