Load Family Tree Maker. Click on Files at the upper left. On the
drop-down menu, select "Open Family File." At the bottom of the
ensuing dialog box select PAF 3 as the file type you wish to open.

This will open the file as a separate database converted to FTM file
format. You can merge this new database into your existing database
if you wish but I strongly advise against it, even if you have made
the back-up Dear Myrtle recommends. (You don't want your cousin's
lousy work to contaminate yours, do you? <g>)

Regards,
Richard
