When keyboards stop registering numbers and letters, they either need to be
cleaned or replaced. You can yake all the keys off (individually) and clean
the little membrane below each, but that surely is a lot of trouble. Also,
you can turn it over and lightly tap it on your desk to see if anything
falls out. If these methods don't work, the probable solution is to replace
the keyboard. Keyboards are relatively inexpensive -- ranging from about
$15.00 to as much as you want to pay. Just ask yourself -- do I need all
the bells and whistles that are associated with the high priced keyboards?
I personally hate the feel of the newer keyboards, and always try to keep an
old spare around -- the older ones from the 256 IBM PC's are some of the
ebst. I am currently using an old keyboard from a 80286 Compavt computer
that finally bit the dust, and really like it's feel also.
