Joyce, I really like your approach to your memories,.....yes the good
AND the bad. Thank goodness, so far my memories are mostly good but
some bad ones too. My mother's first husband denied paternity of their
youngest (twins). It was only a few years ago that my sister and I
discovered that he was the father of my aunt's (Mom's younger sister)
illegitimate son. There are only a few months separating the birth of
the twins and that son! Psych. 101, says this is called
"transference"......I will accuse you of that which I am guilty and
perhaps I will feel better. There was of course, a nasty scandal and a
lot of people bore the brunt on his lie, for the rest of their lives.
Too bad they didn't have DNA back in the '20's. Most of the people of
gone now and my sister (one of the twins) suffers from senile dementia
and doesn't even know who I am, so she is no longer haunted by that
memory.
Joyce, you mentioned Old Spice but does anyone remember Bay Rum? My Dad
used that for years (he used a straight razor too) and I loved the
smell. Margaret in NV
