Is it going to give you any information that you don't know, Jen?
Make a value judgment about what you want to pursue in your
research.
I'd be interested in my father's service records, it was years
and years before I was born, before he was married, before he
left his parents' home. It was during WWI, he never left the
country, but eventually my mother qualified for a small dole as
the widow of a WWI vet. My father's service piques my curiosity,
although I doubt that it will give me any additional genealogical
information beyond being his service record and satisfying a
sentimental interest.
