Go back to the network setup and try adding another client, Microsoft, Client for Microsoft Networks and (if its not there, Microsoft Family Logon --- use this first when selecting later). Now you should be
able to add the dial up adapter.

These are all parts of windows and if not setup, you may not be able to see the Dial UP Network adapter.
