Hi All

Hopefully someone can help me. A friend of mine was born in Scotlant and
came to the US when she was 10 years old. She has information back only as far
as her grandfather. She says her family all lived in a small town in Scotland
and had for years and years. She is interested in starting her quest for her
ancestors and needs to know how to go about researching in that area of
Scotland (do not remember the name of the town). Could someone please give me some
leads on how she would go about her search. She would prefer at this time not
to pay to join a research site. Even if it is a pay site, it might be of
some use to her later.
