Since I have two pretty much identical machines, with the same update program set-up, I can't think that
this was "pushed".

I have IE6 on my laptop and IE7Beta on the tower. I didn't want to have a Beta on my laptop, incasea
(that's "in case of. . . " whatever disaster you can think of.)

At any rate, IE7 was not pushed to my laptop. I expect it will be when I boot it after the changeover.

On another subject, the "new" format of sending is confusing me. Used to be that "reply all" went *to* the
list and to the originator. Now, it is going to the originator, copied to the list, and, in this case,
also "to" the person (n.east) that was on the *to* when it arrived at my mailbox. Very confusing.

|then. It is on my system. I've never paid
|attention since I don't use it and didn't look
|until these questions arose. I have to assume it
|came in with something, if not updates, then
|perhaps with Window Defender which I had used and
|which I recently removed or perhaps on a wild
|tangent to defend against Windows attackers I
|updated of my own volition.
