A revised CFV for the reorganization of soc.genealogy.computing has been
posted to four newsgroups: news.announce.newgroups,
news.groups,
soc.genealogy.computing and
soc.genealogy.misc
on 04 Jan 2000 by the Votetaker: Neil Crellin <>.

The purpose of this action is to put to a vote a proposal, previously
discussed in news.groups and soc.genealogy.computing, to change the
current newsgroup and provide a specific place for all vendors, as well
as change the existing group by providing more liberal guidelines on
types of posts which are acceptable. Please refer to one of the above
named newsgroups, review the proposal and cast your vote on this
proposal.

I have personally seen the CFV in the four named newsgroups above, however,
I have not seen it on the two mailing lists' digests, which are attached to
the soc.genealogy.computing and soc.genealogy.misc. Perhaps, there is a
problem with ROOTSWEB.COM.

If you cannot find the CFV in the above four newsgroups, then you may request
a copy from the Votetaker listed above by sending email to the voting
