Hello!

Surprisingly, there are many people in Hungary whose last name (family
name) is KALMAR.
Kalmar, to my knowledge, is from Sweden..just like to city Kalmar and
the "kingdom" which was the city (yes, I hope I am expressing myself
well!).
I am not sure what Kalmar means actually - perhaps does it have a
meaning.

I have been trying to figure out for a few years (little research) how
this name travelled to Hungary and when.
I have been unsuccessful in figuring out an answer.

Perhaps one of you out there may know. :)

Thank you,

Szandra
