Hi, Roger,
Try posting on the Danish newsgroup:
dk.videnskab.historie.genealogi

It is very active and lots of people answered my query last spring.
Eventually I found living relatives, with different name, on a different
island, all through the help of people who passed along my data. As it got
to a smaller and smaller place finally someone who knew someone found my
cousins. The following month my husband and I (going to Germany anyway)
went to visit them all! It was a dream "reunion" and we went to the old
home farm, met all the family members, were treated to a dinner party at a
cousins's hotel/restaurant. Finally we visited a cousin whose husband is a
GENEALOGIST! He had all the family information on the Danish side. It was
a hundred-year reunion actually. A most rewarding result of my genealogy
research! I hope the same sort of thing for you.
Roberta
