Could anyone please tell me what Julia and Mary would have been in
Norway in the 1860's? Also, the possible variations of Thompson?
My wife's great-grandmother remarried in Minnesota in 1879 and the name
listed on the wedding license was Julia Thompson. Since her children by
the first husband were listed as both Aleckson (1875) and Alexson
(1880), Thompson must have been a maiden name, yet why would it not have
been Thomasdatter? Any suggestions????
Thanks...
