Is it common for men to change their last names like Mickel Esars did?
Here's some more information I received for Maxmo, Finland:

Viktor's father was Mickel Mickelsson Esars later Oman or Åman and his
mother was Fredrika Mårtensdotter Ollgren.
In the church records is noted that Viktor married Edit Irene Eriksdotter
Bergendahl. They had two children Herbert born 1922 and Vivi born 1923.
