I just received a message addressed to me personally in regard to a =
resonse I made to Ed Nugent earlier today (9/16) about individual =
surnames on his NYS surname list. The brief message I received was, =
"THIS SHOULD BE A PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT POSTED ON THE LIST!!!HCP"

I was determined not to get involved with petty bickering regarding =
"Rules" and "Postings vs Private." I noted both the pros and cons and =
hoped it would just die down. And, although I am _furious_, I am still =
determined not to get involved.

I'll say this, however, as a defense of my letter to Ed. I posted it =
because it had information that I thought others might be interested in. =
Trust me, I'll never do that again. I have been involved in "flaming =
contests" (not the particular expression I would like to use right now) =
in the past regarding my own family lines and I swore then that I would =
never get into another one again. And I still stick to that decision.

Therefore, in order to avoid getting my fingers smacked again because =
all I wanted to do was to help someone, you won't hear from me again =
unless in answer to a personal message.

By the way, since I posted my offer of help today regarding Niagara Co. =
research, I have received a number of very friendly personal requests. =
As soon as my hands quit shaking, I'll get around to answering them with =
pleasure.

And in reply to the person who flamed me, I say this: "Little Boy, =
you've got a lot of growing up to do. Just be thankful I didn't reply =
to you personally. I am a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer with 30 =
years service and you ain't never been flamed by the likes of me--nor do =
you want to be."

I still luvya all and please write to me any time. That is, with one =
exception.
